Motorcycle Mayhem This Week: Royal Enfield, Race-spec RR 310 & More

It was a busy week in the motorcycle world, with quite a lot of action unfolding all over the world. In case you were living under a rock for a week and missed out on all the fun, here’s a quick rundown of this week’s highlights.

After being in development for almost four years and being delayed for a year, Ather Energy finally launched its future-ready scooters for Rs 1.09 lakh and Rs 1.24 lakh respectively (all prices, on-road Bengaluru).

It was quite a dramatic week for the Grand Prix as well, with all the action spilling out of Mugello and onto the paddocks and ended up with many established names in the circuit playing merry-go-round.

After years of delay, it was thought that the G 310 R and the G 310 GS will never make it to India. However, BMW finally decided to play ball and commenced bookings for the two Bavarian brothers.

The Honda Africa Twin really impressed us last year. So our excitement is only palpable when the 2018 version of the ADV has finally been launched in India for Rs 13.23 lakh (ex-showroom). So what does the new Africa Twin bring to the table?

It is hard to imagine that a company associated with an old-school motorcycle philosophy like Royal Enfield will ever foray into the electric culture. But it might be happening sooner than you expected.

After a hiatus of almost 40 years, the legendary Italian brand will be returning to its racing heritage next year, with a sweet ride!

According to TVS, the Apache RR 310 was developed with years of learning and experience from the racetrack. So it was only natural that the RR 310 would be battling it out at the Kari Motor Speedway, Coimbatore.
